Transforming Presence

In class Thursday morning I started to develop a pretty heinous headache. It was to the point where I could not focus at all and just ended up zoning my teacher out and thinking about video games. I got through that class and the class that I teach and headed for home. Instead of turning on music or listening to a podcast, I decided to just sit in silence and think about the Lord. I was meditating on how the angels were circling around the throne and still haven't finished because of how awesome God is and I felt the presence of the Lord on my noggin. It was like some kind of weight was rested on my head and my head also started tingling. The headache subsided and I asked the Lord what he was trying to tell me through this encounter. I believe that the Lord was using this as a prophetic picture for the people around me. I feel like he was telling me that His presence is the only thing that will transform minds. I believe this is a word for us in this time since we are in a place where most people disagree with the way we see God and the way we see Him working in our day. It takes a weight off of us that we don't have to argue our views by using the wisdom of man, but rather we should pray and fast so those around us experience the presence of God and are transformed by the Lover of their souls.

On a side note the headache did come back but went away after I ate some food. I don't know if that was prophetic or I was just extremely hungry.

The Hits Just Keep Coming

Here's a snippet of an email I got from a local pastor in the Barren County area about the Barren No More conference and its aftershocks:

I want to thank you again for bringing the Conference to the Glasgow/Barren No More Area. There was a hunger deposited in us each night as we attended
And worshiped God. It made a real difference in us. The next Tuesday at prayer time at Church, I had a vision of us having a Revival. A Prayer, Fasting,
And Repenting Revival, with no guest Evangelist. Just us coming in and getting before God on our faces and calling on God.
Anyway, I announced it for the following week, Monday-Friday. I didn't know who would show up, if anyone.
Each night we came in and got before God on our faces. On Tuesday night, people began confessing their sins, and deadness, and the things they had put before God. (I said they, I meant we) On Wednesday Night, the Holy Spirit manifested and the Lord gave me several Word's of Knowledge and prophecies and 2 people got healed instantly of spine injuries. Each night just got better and better as everyone participated and repented. The gifts of the spirit manifested like never before in each service. It is truly a new beginning in our ministry. There is a new fire and zeal and commitment to worship and serve God. Thanks again for the spark that we caught that we so needed.

I, Isaac, only want to add two words: Praise Jesus!

Still Swinging

Today, 2x within 30 minutes, I was able to pray for someone with a really bad back pain. The first person was one on one. He really appreciated the prayer. The second person was with a group praying. I wish I could report that they were gloriously healed and delivered, but it wasn't a quick healing.

I also joined others as we prayed for a friend's shoulder blade and for their kid to sleep at night.

In all these cases, I truly believe that something happened. Something shifted when we asked Heaven to invade Earth. I didn't see it happen right then and there (except the shoulder pain), but we are swinging more and more. After I pray for about 1,000 people, then I hope to have a better understanding. This is just part of the process.

In the Parking Lot

I was riding with a friend. He kept having pain in his neck/shoulder to the point he couldn't turn his head from side to side. When we stepped into the parking lot, a couple of us prayed for him. A simple prayer that asked His Kingdom to come right now. We told pain to leave. The LORD totally healed him right there. He was turning his head all over the place.

I see how my mind is changing. Before, when I heard about someone being sick, I was like "sucks for you, I hope you get better". Now when I hear about a pain or a sickness, it is like something inside me clicks. I know that the discomfort and illness are not suppose to be there. I know that we Christians have the right to see God's Kingdom come.

I thank God for the change of heart and mind.

Praying for People

I am going after this thing - one way or another. I am attempting to pray healing for at least 1 person a day. Sometimes that is by phone. Sometimes just my family - nothing crazy big. But I want to build a mentality that healings are normal acts of Christianity.

Today, I prayed for a guy who was having hip pain. It was a simple prayer. I felt the Holy Spirit towards the end - about the time I said "amen". The guy said his hip felt better. I praise God that He can touch people when I feel as holy as a slug!!

Taste and See

Last week at Barren No More the Lord worked in ways that I had not experienced before in my own walk. I am writing this as someone who was exposed to the real supernatural workings of God only a year ago and up till that point was a member of a conservative church. My first taste of God working was a prophecy spoken over me by Brian Johnson during worship. He said that this week I would be given an opportunity that would move my life in a totally different direction and he also saw me as a writer that would write prophetically. Later when talking to him he found out that I taught Math and told me that he also saw something with math over me but he thought it was just a silly thought. That day before the conference I spoke to my grad advisor and he presented me with a research opportunity in which I would be writing programs and eventually it would lead to a thesis that is on the cutting edge of Math. I do not think these things are a coincidence and I truly believe the Lord is going to show favor in my Math career and prophetically speak to me about this so His kingdom is evident in the Mathematical world. The Lord wants to set up his Kingdom not only in churches and christian culture but he wants his Kingdom to overtake every aspect of the World. Who better to work in a creative field like the arts or sciences then someone who has the Creator living in him and speaking to him all the time.

During the last night of the conference I got to join the Lord in what he was doing and pray for healing in people's bodies. I do not know how I got up to the front calling out words of knowledge I felt during the service, but I was there and the Lord was doing something great. The first woman I prayed for had back pain that comes and goes but was not present at the time. I prayed for her and the presence of the Lord fell on her and she was on the ground before I realized what was happening. The second man I prayed for had pain in his back that went around to his front. The Lord came upon him and took the pain away and he told me that his back felt on fire (which happens sometimes when the Lord heals). He too ended up on the ground. For someone who was experiencing this for the first time this was all really cool. Another lady that I got to pray for had a pain in her shoulder, that went down to her arm. The Lord took away the pain in her shoulder and her arm and her arm was tingling afterward. She also could not hear very well out of one of her ears. I prayed for the ear and the Lord made it pop and at the same time He even popped my ear. She said that she felt like there was something clogging it so I kept praying for her ear and all of the sudden the Lord started popping her ear over and over again until she could hear out of it better than she ever had before.

I am not posting this as some holy person. This was the first time I ever was a part of something like this and I had to apologize multiple times to the people I prayed for because everytime they reported healing I would say, "Nah ah... Really?" The Lord healed those people not because of what they did, but because of how good God is and how much He loves those people. God could have healed without my prayer or laying my hands on those people, but because He loves me so much as His son, he wants me to share in His business and his glory. I hope that this gives you all a taste of how good the Lord Jesus is and gives you a burning hunger to go after the supernatural aspect of the person of God.

Headache Gone

I met with a guy today. He was sharing about life and then he said that he had a headache. When he said the word "headache", I had a sharp pain in my left temple. I asked if I could pray for him. I put my hands on his temples and prayed. I could sense the presence of the Holy Spirit. This guy began to smile and then laugh as the LORD came upon him. After praying, he asked me what was going on. He said he hasn't laughed all day but something happened. He said he was feeling about 45% better. I prayed again and he said the headache was 100% gone.

What a Week

Ever wonder what the LORD is doing?

The LORD gave me a dream about a gathering last year on August 14th, 2006. I didn't know what it meant at the time, but I saw it happening (my friend and a guy with a long gottee). Several months ago, my friend also had a vision of this conference, but he did something about it - organized it and made it happen.

This blog exists because a guy had a vision at night. We honor him and his stewardship of what God gave Him . . . May we steward what God gives us.

So last week, we experienced "Barren No More". Things were released. Many people encountered God. Many people were healed. Deaf ears were opened. People were delivered. Impartation occurred.

Healings

This post is going to kick off the fireworks. Yesterday, I got a word of knowledge for a friend's shoulder. We prayed and the pain was gone. I prayed for my mom last night and her headache left - I prayed 3x. I prayed for my wife's eye - 95% healed. I also prayed for a couple of people with colds. I have also been warring against this cold that keeps creeping up on me. 3 healings in 24 hours. That's a good start.
